Terms of Use

These terms are the agreement between you and HexnHue covering your use of the Magboard app. By downloading or using Magboard you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

1. The app

Magboard lets you turn photos into cut-out magnets, arrange them on boards, pin those boards to your iPhone home screen as widgets, and share a board with other people so it stays in sync across your phones.

We grant you a personal, non-transferable, revocable licence to use Magboard on Apple devices you own or control, in line with Apple's App Store Terms of Service. You may not copy, resell, reverse-engineer, or redistribute the app, or attempt to extract its source code or assets, except where the law says you may.

2. Accounts

Magboard does not require an account for personal use. Using a sharing feature creates an anonymous account automatically, and you may optionally secure it with Sign in with Apple. You are responsible for keeping access to your Apple ID secure, since that is what proves a shared board is yours.

3. Purchases

a) What is free and what is paid

Magboard is free to start: 3 boards and 20 of your own magnets are included at no cost. Magboard Lifetime is a one-time purchase, not a subscription, and unlocks unlimited boards, unlimited magnets, and the full sticker catalog. We may change what is included in the free tier for new users, but we will not take away access you have already paid for.

b) Billing

All purchases are processed by Apple through your App Store account and charged in your local currency at the price shown at the time of purchase. We do not process payments ourselves and never receive your payment details. Prices may change over time; a change never applies retroactively to a purchase you have already made.

c) Restoring a purchase

Because Magboard Lifetime is tied to your Apple ID, you can restore it on a new device or after reinstalling with Restore Purchases on the paywall screen.

d) Refunds

Refunds for App Store purchases are handled by Apple under their refund policy, not by us. You can request one at reportaproblem.apple.com. If something is genuinely broken, email us first and we will try to fix it.

e) Promotional offers

We may offer time-limited discounts. Offers are limited to the stated window, cannot be combined, and have no cash value.

4. Your content

The photos, images, and text you put on a board are yours. You keep all rights to them, and we claim no ownership of them. You grant us only the narrow permission needed to operate the app: for boards you choose to share, to store and transmit that content so the other members and their widgets can display it. This permission ends when you delete the content or your account.

You are responsible for what you add. By using Magboard you confirm you have the right to use the images you upload, and that your content does not infringe anyone's rights or break any law.

5. Shared boards

Sharing a board makes everything on it visible to every member of that board, and sends them a notification when it changes. Anyone holding a valid invite code can join the board it belongs to, so treat invite codes as you would a password and only send them to people you intend to share with. You are responsible for who you invite. Members can add and remove magnets, so share only with people you trust.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to use Magboard to:

• upload content that is illegal, hateful, harassing, sexually explicit, or violent;
• upload someone else's images or likeness without their permission;
• share intimate or private images of another person without their clear consent;
• impersonate anyone, or send unsolicited or abusive invites;
• attempt to break, overload, or gain unauthorised access to the app, our backend, or another user's boards;
• use automated means to access the service, or resell access to it.

We may remove content or suspend access to the sharing features if we reasonably believe this section has been broken.

7. The sticker catalog and our own content

The Magboard name, logo, app design, and the artwork in the built-in sticker catalog belong to us or our licensors. You may use catalog stickers inside your own boards and share or export images of those boards, including on social media. You may not extract, redistribute, resell, or use catalog artwork as your own separate assets, or in another product.

8. Availability and support

We aim to keep Magboard working well, but we do not promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free. Features may change, and sync and notification delivery depend on Apple's services and your network, which are outside our control. Support is provided on a reasonable efforts basis by email at codingmunk94@gmail.com. Apple has no obligation to provide any support or maintenance for the app.

9. Back up your work

Boards you keep private live only on your device and are not backed up by us. You are responsible for keeping your own copies of anything you would be upset to lose. Exporting a board image to your photo library is the easiest way to do that.

10. Disclaimer of warranties

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Magboard is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

11. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for lost data, lost profits, or lost goodwill arising from your use of Magboard. Our total liability for any claim relating to the app is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or ten United States dollars. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

12. Third-party services

Magboard relies on third-party services, including Apple, Supabase, and RevenueCat. Your use of the app is also subject to their terms, and we are not responsible for their services. You confirm you are not located in a country subject to a United States embargo and are not on any United States list of prohibited or restricted parties, as Apple's terms require.

13. Apple

This agreement is between you and us, not Apple, and Apple is not responsible for Magboard or its contents. Apple has no obligation to furnish any maintenance or support. In the event of any failure of the app to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple and Apple will refund the purchase price; to the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation with respect to the app. Apple is not responsible for addressing any claim by you or a third party relating to the app, including product liability, regulatory, or intellectual property claims. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you.

14. Termination

You can stop using Magboard at any time by deleting the app, and you can delete your account from the Account screen. We may suspend or end your access to the sharing features if you materially break these terms. Sections that by their nature should survive termination — content ownership, disclaimers, and limitation of liability — continue to apply.

15. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the app changes. We will update the date at the top of this page, and make significant changes clear in the app. Continuing to use Magboard after a change means you accept the updated terms.

16. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, and the courts of India will have jurisdiction over any dispute. If you are a consumer elsewhere, this does not remove any protection you have under the mandatory law of your country of residence.
